Hypnosis - A Blueprint for Accelerated Learning

Learning as a life long process is the key way to prolong a youthful attitude of mind. It is also, in many cases, a necessary part of a successful career. However, there are many factors that can inhibit the learning process, the two most insidious are low self-esteem and lack of motivation.

December 15, 2004 -- Poor study habits, poor nutrition and medication can also adversely affect someones ability to learn.

Fortunately hypnosis can help with these inhibitors to learning.

Motivation is emotional and comes from the subconscious. Just knowing the benefits of success is not enough. Feeling a strong desire to acquire those benefits is essential. explains Georgina Cannon, Director of the Ontario Hypnosis Center in Toronto. If too many desires compete for time and attention, its impossible to focus on the learning goal. The desire loses strength and becomes ineffective, she adds.

When I work with a client to improve learning or study habits, we set priorities and works through the subconscious mind to strengthen the focus.

Self-esteem is built up with a series of success and rewards. Setting interim success goals helps build self-esteem and hypnosis and self-hypnosis anchors the feeling of success, thus building self-esteem.

Good study habits and time management are also discussed and confirmed through hypnotic suggestion, and as the learning pattern is discussed, enhanced and anchored by hypnosis and self hypnosis, a clients learning ability and memory retention is enhanced greatly.

For most people, hypnotherapy can provide insight, guidance and direction to establish and confirm personal learning goals, boost self-esteem and create motivation.

More and more people are using hypnosis and self-hypnosis to enable themselves to be the best they can be, explains Georgina Cannon. Once youve learned self-hypnosis, it can stay with you for the rest of your life and help you achieve any goal you set your mind to.

When choosing a hypnotherapist, it is important that they have complete and thorough training, preferably by an international body such as the National Guild of Hypnotists, which insists on a minimum of 100 training before certification and that their members keep up training every year for re-certification.
